Who may use the site
Anyone may read Crochetilly. To leave a comment, subscribe or write to us you must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher. If you are younger, ask an adult to do it for you.
What you may do with our work
You may read, print and save our guides for your own use. You may not scrape the site, republish our text or photographs elsewhere, translate and repost our guides, or feed our content into a service that reproduces it. Quoting a sentence or two with a link back is welcome and needs no permission.
Patterns, and selling what you make
Where we publish an original pattern, you may make as many items from it as you like, including items you sell, provided the pattern itself is not copied, resold or given away. A credit naming Crochetilly is appreciated and not required.
Where we link to somebody else’s pattern, that designer sets the rules, not us. We link to designers rather than republishing their work, so read their terms before selling anything made from their pattern.
Comments and anything else you post
You keep ownership of what you write and you give us permission to display it here. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, misleading, or copied from somebody else, and do not use comments to advertise. We may edit or remove any comment and we do not have to explain why. Repeated abuse means we will block you from commenting.
If we have infringed your copyright
We link to designers rather than republishing their patterns, and every photograph here is either licensed for commercial use or credited to its author. If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, write to contact@crochetilly.com with the work you own, the exact address of the page complained of, your contact details, and a statement that you are the owner or authorised to act for them. We will remove or correct anything that should not be here, usually within a few working days, and we would rather hear from you than from a lawyer.
Accuracy and availability
We check the figures we publish and we correct mistakes when they are pointed out, but we do not promise that everything here is free of error, nor that the site will always be available. Guides are provided as they are.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Crochetilly is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of this site, from anything you make using information found here, or from any third-party site we link to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Please read the Disclaimer, which covers safety and matters if you make toys.
The rest of the small print
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to somebody else; we may transfer ours if the site changes hands, and we will say so on the site if that happens. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer and Affiliate Disclosure, are the whole agreement between us.
