Crochetilly is free to read because it is funded by advertising and by affiliate links. This page says plainly how that works, because you are entitled to know when a recommendation can earn us money.

What an affiliate link is
Some links to yarn, hooks and other supplies are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking one, we may receive a small commission from the retailer. The price you pay is exactly the same. The commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not out of your pocket.
Programmes we take part in
[LIST EACH PROGRAMME HERE. If you join Amazon Associates, the required wording is: “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.” Add every other network and retailer programme you join.]
How we mark them
Any guide containing affiliate links says so near the top, before the links appear. We do not hide them in ordinary text and hope you click.
What a commission does not buy
No retailer pays us to be recommended, and no commission rate decides what we recommend. Where we say one yarn works better than another, that is our own view from using them, and we will say when a cheaper option is the better one. If we have not used something, we say that too.
Advertising on this site is sold and placed by an advertising network. We do not choose the individual advertisements, and an advertisement appearing here is not a recommendation from us.
